Dang, I’ve definitely started drifting away from WordPress theming. It’s simultaneously sad and cool to see some of my once favorite Automattic themes get retired, and a large number of new, great-looking and free themes appear. (I’d love to start experimenting again, but then I also love, uhm, some control over my sites’ HTML.)
@jan would you say that WordPress is on a decline for smaller websites?
@hxii No, I wouldn't go that far. *anecdotal* If anything, it's very much on the rise still. For personal/smallish sites, but also for e-commerce and businesses that would perhaps previously have chosen Drupal. I think a lot of the interest in alternative or bespoke solutions, be it headless or static or something else, doesn't quite reflect the real world (yet).
