@jan as much as I'm a non-WordPress person, I like the idea of Gutenberg. But this seems mostly a way to encroach upon the existing plugins like wpbakery, and like you said, this'll only serve to scratch a short-term itch. A site that lives for years or decades is going to run into problems with this at some point (just like with aforementioned plugins).
